Cranberry Apple Mojito in a glass

INGREDIENTS

  • 5 mint leaves

  • 2 oz white rum

  • 4 oz cranberry hard cider

  • 1 oz lime juice (about ½ lime)

  • 3 oz club soda (lemon-lime seltzer)

  • 2 tbs "simple syrup"  (if you want it sweeter)

  • Ice

  • Fresh cranberries, apple slice, mint leaves, for garnish (optional)

HOW TO MAKE A CRANBERRY APPLE MOJITO

To make individual mojitos by the glass:

  1. Muddle: Add mint leaves and rum to a glass. Use a muddler to press and twist the mint leaves a few times to release their juices.

  2. Add lots of ice: Fill the glass with ice all the way to the top.

  3. Stir it all together: Add the cranberry hard cider, lime juice, and club soda and quickly stir to mix.

  4. Garnish: Pop in a few whole fresh cranberries, apple slices, and some more mint to garnish.

To make a batch of mojitos in advance:

  1. Scale it up: Multiply the recipe by the number of glasses you want to serve. Add that amount of mint and rum to a large mixing glass and muddle.

  2. Mix the juices: Add cranberry hard cider, and lime juice to the mixing glass. Stir it together and set aside in the fridge until you’re ready to make the cocktails.

  3. When you’re ready to serve: Fill each glass full with ice and pour the pre-mixed cocktail to fill the glass about 3/4 full.

  4. Top up: Top off each glass with club soda until full. You want to leave this until just before serving so that the cocktail stays bubbly.

  5. Garnish: Top with fresh cranberries, apple slices, and mint.

HOW TO SERVE YOUR CRANBERRY APPLE MOJITOS

Mojitos are typically served in high ball glasses. These are tall, narrow glasses that hold about 10-15oz of fluid and a double shot of liquor, including ice piled up high.

An easy, 7-ingredient (1-pitcher!) recipe for traditional white wine sangria. We hope you all LOVE this citrusy, bright, refreshingly versatile sangria!

Servings 6 (Gluten-Free, Vegan)

Ingredients

  • 1 medium lime (thinly sliced into rounds)

  • 1 medium lemon (thinly sliced into rounds)

  • 1/4 cup organic cane sugar (or sub agave, powdered coconut sugar, maple syrup, or stevia to taste // for drier sangria, omit)

  • 1/2 medium organic green apple (cored, skin on, chopped into small pieces)

  • 1 medium ripe peach or orange (thinly sliced)

  • 1 cup sliced strawberries

  • 1 750-ml bottle dry, crisp white wine (chilled) Watch Hill White

FOR SERVING

  • Ice or frozen berries for serving (used frozen blueberries)

  • First Bite hard cider (optional) (topped off the Sangria in the glass)

  • Fresh mint (optional-but highly suggest!)

Instructions

1. Add lime, lemon, and sugar (or other sweeteners) to a large pitcher (or use multiple pitchers if making a larger batch) and muddle with a muddler or gently crush with a wooden spoon for 45 seconds.

2. Add apple, orange (or peach), and strawberries. Stir to incorporate. Then add wine and stir once more.

3. Taste and adjust flavor as needed, adding more sweetener of choice for sweetness, lemon or lime juice for acidity, or fruit. Stir to combine.

4. Add ice or frozen berries and stir once more to chill. Serve as is or with a bit more ice and mint (optional). To dilute the mixture, top off glasses with a bit of First Bite hard cider (optional).

5. Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 48 hours, though best when enjoyed within the first 1-2 days.

Slice the remaining orange half into thin slices and place in pitcher. 2. Cut your lemon and seasonal fruit into thin slices (or cubes if working with melon or pineapple). Add to the pitcher. 3. Pour a bottle of Respect the Elder (chilled wine) into the pitcher. 4. Add maple syrup, and sweeten the sangria to taste. 5.
